Cord blood and cord tissue can be collected only at birth, so enrol before your due date.
Can I still collect during a caesarean?
Yes. Collection works with both vaginal and caesarean births, and it does not change your birth plan.
Does collection hurt my baby?
No. We collect only the blood and tissue left in the cord and placenta after birth. It does not involve your baby.
What happens on delivery day?
Your delivery team collects the sample right after birth. Our team then transports it to our Singapore laboratory.
What is the difference between cord blood and cord tissue?
Cord blood contains hematopoietic stem cells, used today in established treatments. Cord tissue contains mesenchymal stem cells, which are being researched. Many families store both.
How long can samples be stored?
In long term, monitored cryogenic storage at our MOH licensed, AABB accredited facility.
How do you keep my sample safe?
We process on the AXP II automated system and store with documented handling and monitoring at every step.
Can other family members use it?
Cord blood may be suitable for a matching sibling in certain treatments. Suitability always depends on the medical situation.
